It was a big day for the Deputy Commander of the Buffalo Fire Marshall's Office. Edwin Ortiz retired from the Air Force Saturday afternoon, after spending more than three decades serving our country.
A special ceremony was held at the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station in his honor.
"Actually I want to cry," said Lieutenant Ortiz. "I mean I'm going to miss these guys and girls, like I said. I wa sdoing this since I was 16... 32 and a half years."
He will continue his roll in the Buffalo Fire Department.
