Charlie and Doreen Hawley are real life farmers, but for 10 days each summer they become the hosts of the Erie County Fair's popular Agriculture Discovery Center. Doreen says the exhibit is fun and educational for all ages and especially for people who haven't been around farm life.

There is plenty to see here, a blacksmith on duty, movies and a huge combine simulator that folks can climb into and pretend to be farmers. There are baby chicks and newborn piglets but the big attraction is the "Moo-ternity Ward" where the calves are born throughout the Fair.

Visitors can  text ILOVECOWS to 88588 and the Fair will contact them when a cow goes into labor. Several calves will be born during the Fair and many people have been able to witness the events.

Charlie and Doreen hope that the main thing visitor takeaway from the Agriculture Discovery Center is "the care we take with the animals. We really take very good care of them."
