A social worker is facing charges after being seen on surveillance video pushing a nursing home resident to the ground.

According to Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, 55-year-old Susan Sanborn, of Cheektowaga pushed a 68-year-old resident of Absolut Care of Orchard Park to the ground while exiting a room.

Sanborn was seen on video pushing the resident, then kicking their legs out of the way of an exit door before closing the door and leaving the unit, according to Schneiderman.

Sanborn is charged with endangering the welfare of an incompetent or physically disabled person, and faces up to four years in prison.
