Two True Bethel Baptist Church ministers were inside the Dollar General on East Ferry when a young man stole some trail mix and a soda.

The two men, Elder Cambridge Boyd and Rayshawn Smalos then jumped into action, literally. They got back in the church van, chased the man, while capturing it all on Facebook Live (https://www.facebook.com/sir.cambridge.boyd/videos/10154410477933456/?pnref=story).

The two ministers eventually caught up with the suspected thief and convinced him to take the items back to the store.

"We made sure he took it back and apologize. We also gave some money so he can get him something to eat," Boyd said.

Police were not called. The two ministers said they felt as Christians it was their duty to step in and do something.

" For him to walk in a crowded store and run out with something that means he was really in need," Boyd said.

"I didn't want to see nobody go to jail for something so petty," Boyd.
