Buffalo, NY (WKBW) - Valentine's day is for matters of the heart and the American Heart Association is hoping Western New Yorkers can spend a little time this Valentine's Day learning how to save a life and keep that heart beating, using CPR. Tuesday, the association released a YouTube video that shows 7 sudden cardiac survivors from around the state and how they're alive today because of CPR.

The American Heart Association hopes the 'I'm Alive' video message reaches Albany to encourage lawmakers to support and pass the proposed CPR in Schools Bill. The legislation calls for students in New York to receive basic CPR skills before graduating high school. CPR can double or triple the survival of a sudden cardiac arrest victim.
