YWCA of WNY Asking Community For Help

January 8, 2013 Updated Jan 8, 2013 at 2:33 PM EDT

BUFFALO, NY (WKBW-TV) - YWCA of WNY Inc. is calling on community support to help get a vital Domestic Violence Safe House back on line as soon as possible. The house will need to be entirely gutted and redone. At a time when emergency shelters are at capacity and YWCA of WNY has a waiting list for housing for domestic violence victims and their children, having a property off line from a fire is especially devastating.

The YWCA of WNY needs:

·Financial contributions are helpful-insurance will NOT cover all of the rebuild expenses.

·Builders, roofers, electrical, heating and plumbing contractors, dry wallers, etc. who might do some work gratis or at a reduced expense.

If you can assist in any capacity (financial or service provider) please contact:

**Please note “Fire” when sending or contacting**
