BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - The snow storm that rocked the Northeast Friday put the travel plans of many on ice.

Many of the flights coming-in and flying-out of the Buffalo-Niagara International Airport were canceled or delayed, leaving many travelers stranded.

"Oh, I was like, gosh! I have this bad feeling we are not going fly again," said Faye Qiao.

Qiao is part of a group of 20 tourists from China who were forced to make an emergency landing in Buffalo on their way to Detroit when the airplane began to depressurize.

They had planned to be back in their hometown to celebrate the Chinese New Year, but thanks to the snow, the airline couldn't get passengers on another flight and instead were forced to bus the passengers to Detroit.

"It's just nice to make it Chinese New Year to be united with family, but now everything is delayed," said Qiao.

A line passengers returning from Florida waited to speak with airline officials after their luggage failed to make the trip. The snow caused a connecting flight in Baltimore to be canceled, so the airline moved the passengers to another plane. Their luggage did not follow.

Still, most passengers were happy to land safely.

"We were even told that we might not even land in Buffalo that it might be too difficult and if so we might be going to Pittsburgh," said Fred Leising of Clarence.
