Williamsville Schools to Review Bullying Policies

(Williamsville, N.Y) The suicide of 14-year old Jamey Rodemeyer has focused community atttention on the problem of bullying.

Rodemeyer, a freshman student at Williamsville North High School, took his own life after being tormented for years about his sexual orientation.

His death has made national news and been talked about by singer superstar Lady Gaga.

Officials from the Williamsville Central School District tell Eyewitness News that they are tackling the bullying problem head-on.

School policies and practices are being reviewed to see how things can be done better.

Starting next week, Superintendent Scott Martzloff will visit the district's four middle schools and three high schools.

He will meet with parent groups to hear what they have to say about bullying.
