Buffalo, NY (WKBW) - John Willet will appear in Buffalo City Court on Wednesday for a drug charge.
Court records show Willet pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of possession of a controlled substance back in May. Four other charges, including resisting arrest were dropped.
The charges are related to a recording of former Buffalo Police Officer John Cirulli kicking and punching a handcuffed Willet, following a police chase.
Cirulli pleaded guilty to federal charges stemming from the incident, and will be sentenced in September.
Willet is suing the City of Buffalo and the Buffalo Police Department for $500-thousand.
