BUFFALO, NY ( WKBW ) You would be hard pressed to find anyone who thought the debate Monday night with the seven candidates running for Governor of the State of New York was a good thing for the voters.
Some say there were too many people, with too little time, too short on specific policy to turn the state around.
So, will there be another - this time with leading Democratic candidate Andrew Cuomo and Republican Carl Paladino?
WKBW Channel 7 in Buffalo, and WABC Channel 7 in New York City, with the League of Women Voters, have rolled out the welcome mat - offering the two prime candidates the chance to meet one on one to truly debate the issues.
If it happens, the debate would be one hour, live between 7-8pm, any evening next week.
That offer has already been accepted by Republican Carl Paladino. All parties concerned are now waiting for a response from Democrat Andrew Cuomo. If he agrees, that debate would be seen exclusively on WKBW Channel 7 in Buffalo - and WABC in New York.
