Wicked Wind Wreaking Havoc

BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - The wicked wind is wreaking havoc this Wednesday, as sustained winds remain high with wind gusts reaching up to 50mph.

Crews are responding to Boston State Road in the Town of Boston where power pole snapped due to the wind.

Officials are also reporting a widespread power outages throughout the area. Crews are responding to outages in Lancaster, West Seneca, Town of Boston and Cheektowaga.

NYSEG reports about 3500 people are without power however there is no estimate as to when power will be restored.

Tree limbs and power lines have been reported down in some areas, and residents should stay alert throughout the day as strong gusts could knock out power in areas.
