BUFFALO, NY (WKBW)- One of the key pieces for development on Buffalo's Inner Harbor is now up for grabs. The City of Buffalo is actively pursuing a developer for the Webster block in downtown. The city is seeking proposals from developers on its website and Mayor Byron Brown says the city has already received interest from local and out of state developers, companies in Canada, and even the Buffalo Sabres.

"This is going to be a competitive process and this will be won by the entity, organization, or groups of organizations that come in with the best most creative proposal for the site." said Mayor Brown. "We're looking for great ideas and great proposals. Essentially, we are looking for people with their proposal, with their checkbook, and with their bulldozer."

Organizations will have until May 25th to register. Proposal submissions are due by June 15th. Interested parties should visit: www.city-buffalo.com
