WEST SENECA, N.Y. (WKBW) -It was a meaningful march for more than 300 impassioned West Seneca residents Saturday. Locals were protesting two group homes in the area, set up by the State, where 7 sex offenders moved in two months ago.
The demonstrators marched from Sunshine Park to one of the houses on Leydecker Road, to show that the convicted felons are living less than a mile away from a place where many area children play.
The State moved the 7 sex offenders to group homes in the area after the Monroe Developmental Center near Rochester was closed down.
