WEST SENECA, NY - West Seneca Police are investigating an accident on Seneca Street near Columbia that sent three people to the hospital.
Police say witnesses in the area saw two vehicles racing westbound on Seneca Street around 4:15 Sunday morning.
Police say one vehicle driven by 21-year-old Ranae Marie Rath went off the right side of the road into a repair garage parking lot. It struck a planter made of railroad ties and then two parked cars.
The car came to a stop on its roof, pinning Rath underneath the two vehicles. She had to be extricated and was taken to ECMC along with the two other passengers in her vehicle.
The second vehicle, a black pick-up truck, driven by 36-year-old Brad Colts was found a short time later.
Both drivers have been charged with DWI, reckless endangerment, speeding, reckless driving, and illegal speed contest.
