NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. ( WKBW ) The day after Nik Wallenda's thrilling walk across Niagara Falls, he threw a thank you party for his family, friends and supporters at the famed Como Italian Restaurant in Niagara Falls, New York.
Restaurant owners Louie and Dom Antonacci were joined by New York State Senator George Maziarz, Assemblymember John Ceretto and Nik Wallenda in making presentations to celebrate this historic accomplishment.
The Como is a landmark restaurant in the Falls, and celebrities from around the world stop in to eat when the visit one of the wonders of the world.
Wallenda's response to Canadian customs officials when he stepped off the wire was, "To inspire people around the world." His message and stunt certainly inspired hundreds of thousands to visit the Falls, with billions more seeing images of Nik on the highwire in media across the globe.
After the success of his trip across the Falls, Wallenda now plans to cross another wonder of the world, The Grand Canyon.
There will be another chance to meet Nik, Sunday June 17th, in person from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm at the Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls, 1900 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY.
