There's some bad news regarding a Buffalo staple: Chicken Wings!

Every year before the Superbowl, retailers raise the prices of wings. This year, they are higher than ever!

The reason is because the demand is up and the price of chicken feed has skyrocketed due to last summer's drought.

According to the national chicken council, Americans will eat 1.2 billion chicken wings on Superbowl Sunday.

The National Chicken Council also asked Americans what their favorite chicken win dipping sauce is. While here in Buffalo it's blue cheese, 57 percent of Americans say they prefer ranch dressing with their wings!

"Ranch dressing sort of gives you the shivers, doesn't it?," says Duff's Famous Wings Owner Phil Kinecki. "Who wants ranch? I don't even know what ranch is supposed to be. What flavor is that? Blue cheese I understand. It's cheese and creamy. But Ranch? What does that mean?"

At Duff's Famous Wigs on Orchard Park Road, they'll serve three times their normal week supply of wings on Superbowl Sunday.
