Violent Home Invasion-Suspects Caught!

TOWN OF YORKSHIRE, NY ( WKBW ) Update***

State Police in Machias releasing information on the arrest of 3 persons involved in an armed robbery.

The New York State Police in Machias have arrested 3 persons as a result of the investigation into the armed robbery that occurred on Thursday night January 7, 2011, on Townline Road of Yorkshire.

Paul A. Andolina, Age 24, Corey D. Ropers, Age 22 and Christopher S. Roper, Age 22, all of Machias, NY, were each charged with Robbery 1st degree and Burglary 1st degree. The three were arraigned by Town Justice Lounsbury in the Town of Machias Court and held on $250,000 bail. They are scheduled to reappear in the Town of Yorkshire Court on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at 6pm.

Three suspects, two armed with guns and knives, are accused of a violent late night home invasion.

The homeowner apparently had to be taken to the hospital.

This all happened just before 10p.m. Thursday night on Townline Road in the Town Of Yorkshire near Arcade.

Deputies say three suspects stormed into a home, attacked the owner, and stole hundreds of dollars in cash. The home is attached to a business known as "The Shop."

Lt. John Aquilina of the New York State Police told Eyewitness News, "Three males wearing hoodies entered the front door with a sawed off shotgun, and demanded money from the residents."
