Buffalo, NY (WKBW) - It was a beautiful Sunday for the Allentown Art Festival. Sunny skies paved the way for big crowds and happy vendors.
More than 450 vendors from across the Unites States, Canada and Europe come to the Allentown Art Festival year after year.
For vendors, this is a livelihood. Those going to the festival often gravitate towards local vendors.
"People ask me where are you from, and when I tell them that I live in the area, it's a different excitement," says Patty Cancilla, from Grand Island. "People are happy to support local."
However, the Allentown Art Festival also draws in artists from across the country.
Artists believe the festival remains so successful because of the community's loyalty.
"Rain or shine, no matter what the weather is, there could be a Nor'easter coming through in June, this street would be filled with women, men and shoppers," says Sue Lances, a vendor from Long Island.
This was the festival's 56th year.
