Vehicle Pulled From Niagara River

CITY OF TONAWANDA, NY ( release ) At approximately 12:41p.m. Sunday, the City of Tonawanda Police and Fire Department responded to a report of a vehicle in the Niagara River by Isleview Park.

Upon arrival, the vehicle was found submerged off the boat docks of Isleview Park.

Tonawanda Fire Department personnel entered the water utilizing cold water rescue suits, and pulled one occupant from the submerged vehicle.

The lone occupant was immediately transported to DeGraff Hospital for treatment.

City of Tonawanda Police were able to identify the occupant of the vehicle.

Identification of the individual will be withheld pending notification of the individual's family.

The incident is under investigation by Detectives.
