ST. CATHARINES, ONTARIO CANADA ( release ) On Wednesday November 2nd 2011, uniform members of the Niagara Regional Police responded to a call of a motor vehicle collision on Dundonald St. in the City of St. Catharines.

Officers arrived on scene and discovered that a vehicle had crashed through the front of a residence on Dundonald St., and travelled through the house, before coming to rest in the back yard of the property. Officers tended to the driver, who sustained a minor injury to his hand. The sole resident of the house, was upstairs at the time of the crash, and she was helped out of the residence by officers; she was not injured.
Officers spoke with several witnesses, including the driver, and it is suspected that he may have suffered a medical emergency prior to the collision. The matter is still under investigation by uniform members of the Service.
Property damage is estimated at approximately $90 000.
