NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WKBW) Uniland Development, a WNY based developer, has been chosen to transform the old Rainbow Centre Mall into the "Wonder Falls" resort.
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced the project during a visit to the Falls, Friday afternoon.
The $150 million dollar project is being supported by the Buffalo Billion funds. The plans for the 200,000 square foot space include a hotel tower, restaurants, entertainment facilities and an indoor waterpark.
The Rainbow Centre, a former shopping mall, has been largely vacant for over a decade.
Uniland is partnering with Cannon Design and Delaware North on the project.
