U.S. Adds Jobs, But Unemployment Rate Remains the Same

A U.S. government report shows that employers added more than 100,000 jobs to the U.S. economy in September, but it wasn't enough to lower the nation's unemployment rate, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The U.S. unemployment rate remained at 9.1 percent for the month, the same mark it was at in July and August, according to the story. The number of unemployed remains around 14 million, the report says.
