U.S. Experiences Second-Warmest May, Hottest Spring on Record

(NOAA release) According to data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the U.S. experienced its second-warmest May and its warmest overall spring on record this year.

The average temperature in the contiguous U.S. during may was 64.3 degrees, according to the NOAA report. The spring season's average temperature was 57.1 degrees, surpassing the previous high average temperature of 55.1 degrees established in 1910.
