Canandaigua, N.Y. -( courtesy 13WHAM.com) State Police say a tire blowout is the likely cause of Sunday's deadly bus crash on I-390 between the Cohocton and Avoca exits.

Investigators briefed the media Monday afternoon at the State Police barracks in Canandaigua.

The reconstruction team said it believes the Bedore Tour bus lost control Sunday afternoon because a tire blew out.

Investigators are still looking at other factors that may have contributed.

They said John DiNardo of Rochester was driving the bus.

He has no violations on his driving record and no criminal history.

Two women on the bus died from their injuries.

The National Transportation Safety Board and State Department of Transportation were notified about the accident.

The damaged tour bus was taken to Canandaigua for further inspections where the black box will be downloaded Monday.

State Police say the bus was coming from Washington, D.C. and driving to Niagara Falls when it crashed with 37 people onboard.

Bedore Tours of North Tonawanda operates the bus.

Seven patients are being treated at Strong Hospital in Rochester.

Passengers were taken to five other hospitals in the area.

State Police say the bus was carrying a group of tourists from New Delhi, India.
