BUFFALO, N.Y. - The University at Buffalo was named one of the 20 finalists at this year's U.S. Department of Energy's Solar Decathlon Competition.
Led by the School of Architecture and Planning, students and professors will build a 1,400 square foot solar-pwoered home they call, "GRoW House." A home comprised of 3 boxes each of which focus on one central theme related to sustainability.
This house serves as a community resource to inspire people to learn more about residential low-energy design.
The competition will be held next year in Irvine, California.
