Two people are dead following a three-car crash in the Town of Wilson on Wednesday.

Niagara County Sheriffs were called to the scene on Wilson-Burt Road. Upon arrival, deputies found two victims still in their vehicles and unconscious. The driver of the third vehicle was alert and conscious.

69-year-old Ronald Zauner of Wilson was removed from his vehicle, but was pronounced dead at the scene.

58-year-old Cathy World of Wilson was removed from her vehicle and transported to Eastern Niagara Hospital in Newfane, where she was then pronounced dead.

The third driver, 58-year-old Patrick Lederhouse of Ransomville, was also transported to Eastern Niagara where he is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing. Authorities say there does not appear to be any alcohol or drug involvement on the part of any of the three drivers.

No charges have been filed at this time.
