Triple Shooting Badly Injures 14-Year-Old

BUFFALO N.Y (WKBW) Police continue to investigate an early morning shooting that left a 14-year-old boy fighting for his life.

Around 1:15am, investigators say a lone gunman opened fire with a shotgun on a group of people who had gathered at a home on Purdy Street in Buffalo's Cold Springs section.

Three young males were struck ages 14, 16, and 20.

The 14-year-old suffered life-threatening injuries after being hit in the face by birdshot fired from the weapon.

All three were taken to the Erie County Medical Center with the two older victims being listed in stable condition.

At a police news conference, it was announced that the severely injured 14-year-old had been upgraded to serious condition from critical.

Police are still looking for a suspect and a motive.

The victims names have not been released.
