BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - Every year thousands of visitors come to Niagara Falls to see one of the treasures of the natural world. The falls itself. Many, however, do not realize that the city is also home to several man made treasures.
For example Niagara County's first skyscraper which was built in 1929. The United Office Building has been recently remodeled and renamed The Giacomo and features Mayan style art deco.
There is the Red Coach Inn, which was patterned after a 14th century English tavern. Both the Giacomo and the Red Coach Inn are part of this weekend's Niagara's Treasures Tour.
The tour was organzied by the Niagara Arts and Cultural Center and gives participants special access to historic buildings like the Jefferson Apartments, The Echota and the Exclusive Tatler Club, which was built in 1876.
