Traveler Advisory For Harlem Road, Amherst

AMHERST, NY (WKBW/NYSDOT Press Release) - The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) has announced that a paving project will begin on NY Route 240, Harlem Road, on August 14th, 2012, in the Town of Amherst, Erie County.

Harlem Road will have lane restrictions in both directions from 7:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. from the entrance ramp to Interstate 290 to NY Route 5 (Main Street). The paving project is expected to last approximately two weeks.

This work is weather sensitive and may be delayed in the event of inclement weather.

Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual's driver's license.
