(WKBW release) The New York State Department of Transportation on Friday announced that bridge maintenance will occur on Interstate 290 near NY Route 265, Military Road, in the town of Tonawanda, Erie County.
According to a news release:
As a result, on Saturday, June 2, Interstate 290 eastbound, in the vicinity of NY Route 265, will be reduced to one lane beginning at 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
This work is weather-sensitive and may be delayed in the event of inclement weather.
Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver’s license.
