Town of Niagara Approves Mall Expansion

TOWN OF NIAGARA, N.Y (WKBW) Monday night, the Town of Niagara Town Board approved a $70-million dollar expansion of the Fashion Outlets Mall.

The 280,000 square foot expansion project will create room for the addition of up to 50 new high-end stores.

It will also include two or three new main anchor stores - with sources telling Eyewitness News that one of them is expected to be Neiman Marcus.

The plan also includes improvements for traffic flow, including connection of the mall roadways to other shopping areas nearby.

Fashion Outlets is also planning to invest an additional $18-million dollars for tenant improvements in the existing mall.

1400 construction related jobs will be created by the project which is expected to be started this fall and completed by 2015.
