TORONTO, ON (WKBW) - Toronto Mayor Rob Ford says he will not resign from office, despite admitting earlier Tuesday that he has smoked crack cocaine.

During a press conference, the emotional Toronto Mayor said he knows he has embarrassed everyone in this city and will be forever sorry.

Ford went on to say that he is glad he has admitted his "mistake" and now feels like a thousand pounds has been lifted off his shoulder.

Ford said he loves his job and remains committed to the City of Toronto.

"I was elected to do a job and that's exactly what I will continue to do. In 2010, I made a commitment and I have delivered on that commitment and I will continue that commitment to the save taxpayers money," said Ford.

Ford went on to say the voters can decide on Election Day in 2014 if they want him to continue to serve as mayor.
