According to a news release issued Tuesday by the Allegany County Sheriff's Office, three students have been arrested on charges of Reckless Endangerment in the 2nd Degree in connection with an alleged drug-related incident on Nov. 17 at Genesee Valley Central School.
According to the news release, the charges stem from an incident in which a 17-year-old Genesee Valley student that attends Elm Street Academy in Cuba allegedly brought several non-narcotic prescription pills to school and placed one of the pills in the soda of another student.
It is also alleged that the student passed at least one other pill to another 17-year-old student on a school bus. The second 17-year-old then allegedly placed half of that pill to a 15-year-old student during lunch at the Genesee Valley campus. The 15-year-old is alleged to have placed pieces of that pill into the water bottle of another student.
The 15-year-old was arrested with his case being sent to the Allegany County Probation department for intake into the Family Court system.
Both 17-year-old students were arrested, processed and issued Appearance Tickets for the Town of Amity Court.
