Buffalo, N.Y. (WKBW) If you love cats, now is the time to help. Thousands of cats in Western New York need loving homes and the shelters that care for them can only do so much.

For Robin Johnson, her business Vilardo Printing on Buffalo's west side, doubles as a home to dozens of cats in need.

Its become known as "City Kitty," located at 326 Connecticut Street in Buffalo.

Robin makes it her mission to rescue cats who would otherwise be homeless, hungry, cold and unsafe.

But despite the passion of Robin and people like her, there is still a huge need for more cat rescues in Western New York.

The Ten Lives Club has had more than 1200 surrendered cats come through there doors this year and they are working to make sure every cat is healthy and finds a home.

But it's not an easy job. Local shelters are always looking for volunteers and donations- whether it's money, food and other supplies or just your time.

If you're interested in adopting any of the cats head to and be sure to look into the Back in Black event going on throughout November
