Clay, NY (WSYR) - Tens of thousands of people are showing their support for a Wegmans worker with Asperger’s syndrome after a customer yelled at him for being “too slow.”

Over 84,000 Facebook users have clicked “Like” and more than 13,000 have shared a post on the Turtle Landing Retreat page calling for support for Chris Tuttle.

“It makes me feel happier that someone out there loves me. Well, not someone, but a lot of people,” Tuttle said.

The incident occurred while Tuttle was operating a cash register at the John Glenn Boulevard store in the town of Clay on Saturday.

Watch his story along with an interview with Dr. Vicky Knapp, a behavior analyst with Summit Educational Resources, for more on what Asperger’s syndrome is.
