Ellicottville, N.Y. (WKBW) - Jaclyn Wilmarth and her seven year old son Matthew suited up and headed up the hill and then, of course, down the hill for some winter fun! Mathew said he remembers his first experience skiing five year ago.

"When you go down the hill and feel excitement," Matthew said.

His mother, Jaclyn, said her family loves to ski.

"Holiday Valley is great. We've been coming here for years and it's the best ski lessons our kids have ever had," Jaclyn said.

This week Holiday Valley Marketing Director Jane Eshbaugh said they're offering even more programs to teach little ones as young as four year old to ski. She said it's fun for moms and dads, too.

"Our kids learn to ski program and you can sign up for a full day or half day. The parents can then go off and have fun. The kids have fun with kids their own age," Eshbaugh said.

If you're not a skier or just want a break from the slopes, at the bottom the hill lies a quant little town know as Ellicottville. Many said its popularity is growing quickly with all the shops, restaurants and other fun things to do for students on winter break. Their parents can have a little fun too.

Jenna Carrol is a senior at Nardin Academy and made her way to Ellicottville with her friends for their break from school. She said it can't be beat.

"All of our friends are here. We can wake up go to breakfast and it's such a cute quaint town," Carrol said.

To top it all off, there are great places to relax and enjoy the view. It is a site that is incredible for the entire family.
