BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - Police in Tonawanda are looking for a thief who stole the vehicle of a Lovejoy social worker while she was delivering Thanksgiving meals.

Colleen Daley was delivering Thanksgiving meals Thursday to some of her clients in her brand new car when someone jumped in and drove off.

Two turkeys will all the trimmings were waiting in Colleen's trunk to be delivered when the theif took off in her car.

"My car is gone. They stole my car with the trunk open," said Daley.

The Buffalo Teachers Federation donated the food and provided replacements, but now Daley, who was only trying to help the less fortunate, is hoping whoever took her car will find it in their heat to return it.

"What did they need more than I need in my car? Did they see the turkeys or did they just see it as a joyride? So I'm hoping some of my stuff returns," Daley added.

The stolen vehicle is a black Kia Spectra, license plate ARZ - 7786. If anyone spots the stolen car, they are asked to call Tonawanda Police at 876-5300.
