TONAWANDA, NY (WKBW-TV) - Kids love trick-or-treating because they're getting candy,
but giving out candy also has its benefits.
Residents at McAuley Residence in Tonawanda.
hosted a "halloween open house" on Tuesday night where they could pass out goodies to young trick-or-treaters.
"I think halloween is wonderful with the children. It was my favorite holiday hen I was home," said Mildred DiLuca. "I think it's very joyful. I think it's wonderful for the parents to take the time to bring the children to see us. It brightens up our day."
The open house is part of McAuley Residence's goal of giving their residents "multi-generational" interaction.
