East Otto, NY (WKBW-TV) Residents in parts of the Southtowns and Southern Tier woke up Sunday to see the first light snow of the season coat everything from pumpkins to the last of the colorful leaves.
Eyewitness News web cameras took a ride from the Town of Hamburg, down Route 219, to the Town of Ellicottville Saturday. Temperatures started at 40 degrees closer to the lake and dropped rapidly while traveling up through the Boston Hills. Temps dropped to 32 degrees going into the Town of Springville, where snow flurries were falling.
Typical "Lake Effect" flurries dropped from Springville right into the Town of Ellicottville, with the occasional peaks of sun through the clouds.
