WEST SENECA, NY (WKBW) - While you may be ready for this week's warm-up, residents along Lexington Green in West Seneca are dreading the mid-winter thaw.
"We're really nervous on our street," said Laurie Kaczmarski. "We don't know if it's going to happen again."
She and dozens of other residents met with volunteer recovery organizations at St. John's Lutheran Church on Clinton St. Tuesday night.
"It's very nerve-racking because a lot of us have a lot of damage. I had a full remodeled basement, a walk-in closet, my laundry room," Kaczmarski said.
Town emergency officials said sandbags will be dropped off to residents who want them on Wednesday, when temperatures are expected to go above the freezing mark.
