Teenager Hit On Maple Road Dies

BUFFALO, NY (WKBW-TV) - A teenager attempting to cross Maple Road in Amherst who was hit by an S-U-V has died.

13-year-old Erin Suszynski died this morning at Women and Children's Hospital. Police say on the night of June 9th, she was stopped in the median with a group of two other girls near Culpepper Road.
Suszynski and another girl 13-year-old Brianna Francois tried to cross the busy four lane street when they were struck by a Jeep Liberty. Both were taken to the hospital. Francois is expected to survive.

Police are continuing to investigate the accident. The driver was not charged.
