Teen texting is on the rise, according to a report released Monday by the Pew Internet & American Life Project.

According to the Pew report, the median number of texts sent on a typical day by teens rose to 60 in 2011, compared to 50 in 2009. The biggest increase occurred among teens ages 14-17, according to the report.
