BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - Buffalo Police were called to the scene of a deadly shooting on the city's east side Saturday afternoon.
Police say the incident happened just after 4 p.m. on Northland Avenue near Jefferson. The victim was a 16-year-old black male.
Witnesses say the victim was involved in a verbal confrontation shortly before the shooting, possibly relating to the way he was dressed or over his shoes.
Family members identified the victim to Eyewitness News, however police have yet to release his name.
Police Homicide and K-9 units searched the yard of a nearby house, however no arrests have been made at this time and the investigation is continuing.
