Target Recalls Children’s Frog Masks Due to Suffocation Hazard

October 21, 2011 Updated Oct 21, 2011 at 5:04 PM EDT

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Target on Friday announced a voluntary recall of Children's Frog Masks sold at Target stores nationwide due to a potential suffocation hazard.

According to the CPSC news release, the plush frog mask lacks proper ventilation and, when secured across a child's face, could present a suffocation hazard. No injuries or incidents have been reported, according to the CPSC.

The masks were sold at Target stores nationwide from August 2011 through September 2011. Consumers should return the masks to any Target store for a full refund.
