TEA New York Offers Money For Information in Ballot Tampering

Buffalo, NY (WKBW) Rus Thompson of TEA New York has announced that an anonymous member of their Tea Party group is offering a $5,000 dollar reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in the Erie County ballot tampering investigation.

In October the Sheriff's Department started their investigation after nearly a dozen absentee ballots were sent to voters, pre-marked with votes for incumbent County Executive Chris Collins. No arrests have been made in the case.

"This clearly could go right to the top and we in the Tea Party won't stand for this kind of game playing," Thompson said. "We'll turn whatever information we get right over to the Erie County Sheriff."

According to the Sheriff's Department, their initial investigation shows that neither candidate for the County Executive position are involved in the tampering.
