Update-An attorney for the Lockport Firehall has been has contacted Eyewitness News today...Stating that the party scheduled for this evening has been canceled. He stated that the Lockport Fire Officials were unaware that this event was a "swingers" party. EWN will continue to follow this story tonight after college football.

Eyewitness News obtained a copy of an invitation to the swinger's party at the South Lockport Fire Company from the official swinger's club website. It is scheduled for Saturday night from 8 p.m. until 1 a.m. with a scavenger hunt theme where attendees will search for a list of items for prizes.

It also boasts the nearby Holiday Inn in Lockport for rooms that will be available at a discount if they name the swinger's party when making a reservation. But the whole idea of a swinger's party at the fire company is outraging residents and some fire officials who say they want the party cancelled.

"I sickens me," said Stacy Campbell, local resident.

The South Lockport Fire Company on Transit Road is privately owned and contracts its services out to the town. Residents in the town can rent the banquet room for birthday parties, wedding receptions and now, allegedly sex parties. The idea isn't going over well with people who live nearby.

"I think it's kind of stupid and they ought to shut it down!" said Anita Stapleson.

"Maybe if it was in the middle of no where. There's schools, there's children, they're out everywhere walking," said Campbell.

"There's a lot of kids around here and this is a community area. This isn't exactly an area for a swingers party," said Randy Smith, a local resident.

An anonymous source alerted Eyewitness News to the planned swinger's party he claims will be at the South Lockport Fire Company tomorrow night but the source says the location compromises the very privacy swingers depend on.

"It involves way too much of the community which really tarnishes the privacy we ask other people to respect. We're certainly in a situation like this inviting it for others to peer in if you will," Brian.

We spoke to the president of the South Lockport Fire Company tonight, she says a party is scheduled for tomorrow night, but she and her husband, who is the fire chief, claim they didn't know the nature of the party when the banquet room was rented out. The fire company president says she is now working with her attorneys to cancel the event.
