BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) - After two children died in drowning incidents in two days, safety officials are urging parents to step-up safety precautions.

Pool alarms, safety officials say, are one of the best ways to prevent drowning accidents. Under State Law, all pools must have an alarm. The problem is, many people do not use it.

Also, the Red Cross suggests everyone take a first-aid class to learn CPR.

Also, never jump in after someone drowning. Throw them a life vest or jacket to aid them.

Most importantly, always keep an eye on your children near the water.
