LACKAWANNA, WEST SENECA, NY ( WKBW ) A South Buffalo man, 48 year old Jonathan Lewicki, was charged Tuesday with Second Degree Murder.

Police say he stabbed 79 year old Conrad Pinker to death. Pinker's body was found by a relative Monday at his home on Laurelton Drive in West Seneca Monday.

Authorities say Lewicki allegedly killed Pinker, then drove Pinker's van to his house on South Park Avenue.

That is what lead police to an arrest.

Pinker owns a garden shop in Cheektowaga, and police say he fired Lewicki from his staff just weeks earlier. However police stopped short of confirming that as the motive for this crime.

Authorities say the neighborhood is safe, and this is a shock to the entire community.

Lewicki was arraigned in Lackawanna City Court because West Seneca judges were not available Tuesday. The case will likely head to a Grand Jury.

Lewicki will face a judge again July 15th. Police say they are also looking into many other leads as the investigation continues.
