Buffalo, NY (WKBW) Twenty-seven year old Steven Love received a Proclamation from the Erie County Legislature Thursday for being a hero.

Love was overcome with emotion after being honored and cried as he struggled to speak.

Love has three young children and is a cook at TGI Fridays in Williamsville. He was on his way to work, Thursday, April 5th when the incident happened.

Love was waiting for a train at the Utica station in Buffalo when he noticed 59 year old John Cisek suffer a medical emergency and fall onto the tracks.

No one else made a move to help so Love jumped onto the tracks as a train was approaching. He was able to pull the man to safety.

Love says he was just doing the right thing.

Cisek is still in serious condition at ECMC.
