Strike Force Team Makes Three Arrests

BUFFALO, NY (RELEASE) 5:17 PM Troopers stopped a vehicle on Broadway in the City of Buffalo for no seat belt. The operator James D. Robertson, age 48 of Buffalo was found to be in possession of a small amount of crack cocaine and a crack pipe. He was charged with 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree and released on an appearance ticket returnable to Buffalo City Court.

7:15 PM following a V&T stop for attempting to avoid a multi agency checkpoint at Fillmore and Kensington in the City of Buffalo. Upon stopping the vehicle Troopers detected the odor of marihuana coming from the vehicle. The front passenger Stephen G. Parker, age 32 of Buffalo who is currently on parole was found to be in possession of a ½ gram of cocaine in his front pocket. Mr. Parker was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th degree. He was processed and held at the Buffalo Holding Center.

7:30 PM following a V&T stop on Massachusetts at Niagara for no brake light and suspended registration. The operator Jimmy L. Ruffin, age 37 of Buffalo was found to be in possession of small amount of marihuana, 2 oxycodeine, and 1 hydrocodone pills. He was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree, Public Health Law 3345 and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana. He was released on an appearance ticket returnable to Buffalo City Court.
